Well, not exactly. But in a manner of speaking, that’s exactly what Affliction VP Tom Atencio does in this video:
I suppose Atencio is only counting mixed martial arts; otherwise, he’d likely remember that White has boxed in the past and, in fact, tried to box Tito Ortiz before Tito came down with a case of the idiot.
And really, I’m not sure what Atencio is trying to prove. So what if you can step in a cage and fight on a less-than-low-level card? I could go across Houston and do that this Friday night if I wanted to.
I have an idea for you, Tom: instead of fighting, why don’t you figure out how to make Affliction a viable fight promotion and how to avoid going out of business after your next show? I’ll give you a head start: you’re not going to be viable without a television deal.
It might serve you better than fighting.
