Gossip Girl – Episode 2-22 Review

Top Story

Georgina is back. But, not to her old self just yet. Blair and Chuck are on a mission to find her to prove that Serena’s new man Gabriel is a lying (and an ugly Ken doll-looking) scam artist.

Blair tries everything she can to prove that he is up to no good and Chuck is willing to help. Nate wants him to to stay away from her of course, but Chuck can’t help it. Nate gets an apartment in Murray Hill so that he and Blair can live there while at different ends of the city next year. Why the rush Nate? Feeling a little insecure maybe…

Blair finds herself with Chuck and the best part is when they are in the limo to go get Georgina, Chuck tells her that she left with him because deep down she still wants him. Why else would she miss out on her first view of the new apartment? Oh, B. Chuck is your one weakness. Love it!

They find Georgina and she has turned into a born-again Christian whose sins (and there are a lot of them) have been forgiven. It’s quite humorous actually. She tells Chuck that Butter (the bar Gabriel supposedly met Serena at) wasn’t even open the night Gabriel is claiming. Basically, Chuck gets the info he needs. When he goes to being Georgina back to the city, the limo is missing. It looks like Blair was afraid to leave Nate’s mind wandering for too long.

We do find out that Gabriel has some master plan to gain money from his relationship with Serena and he is scheming with his “ex” Poppie to do so. Basically, it is a lot of lying and frankly, not the most engaging story if you ask me.

Rufus is stressing about money and tells Dan and Jenny that he sold the gallery, which is a another lie. But, someone does want to buy the rights to all of his band’s songs. I don’t know what will happen with this, but I do know that big investment he made in Gabriel’s company will inevitably backfire. I’m thinking Dan won’t end up at Yale, but perhaps somewhere closer to Serena? Oh and Dan and Jenny buy Rufus a ring he has his eye on for Lily. A proposal next week perhaps?

Stay tuned!
