ProWrestling.NET has coverage of the conference call that WWE held today, with the release of the companies latest financial numbers. Vince McMahon replaced Linda McMahon as host of the conference call this month.

Some highlights:

– Vince said that developing new stars is important and always has been, since fans always want new things and the business is changing: “It’s a different program, it’s a different company, it’s a different business almost than in the ’90s.”

– John Cena’s latest movie, 12 Rounds, grossed $11.8 Million in the US and will need a strong DVD release to cover the $20 Million budget. Vince said they shouldn’t make $20 Million movies.

– WWE reduced ticket prices in an effort to draw more people to live events.

– WWE is trying to get its major shows on Pay Per View in other countries, with Mexico mentioned as the latest PPV market.
