Making Movie History: Boldly Going Where Now?

Features, Top Story

This is going to be a very short column with some links for your pleasure. Theatres are kind of uneventful this weekend and I’m also dealing with tooth pain from sinus pressure going on over a month now so that’s pissing me off. YES…tooth pain from sinus. Sounds retarded. Is retarded. It hurts so shut up.

This has been one long ass week and it’s actually been a long couple of months pain wise ever since right before attending WrestleMania 25 in Houston. My mouth began hurting and here I kept thinking it had something to do with the three wisdom teeth I still have in my gums. Thing is, I could never pinpoint the pain to a particular tooth because it never emanated from just one or two but the whole right side of my mouth. A little searching and asking around made me find out that sinus pressure caused by pollen, allergies, etc…can cause you to have pain from the top of your head all the way down into your shoulders. Sadly that shit is focused in my mouth and that’s where all my pain has been and it’s pissing me off.

Anyways, I’m not in the best mood when the throbbing hits me because it’s just annoying.

Star Trek comes out this week folks and people are already flocking to it left and right because it actually was released in theatres yesterday. DVD guru Travis Leamons actually got a sneak peek of it on Monday I believe it was and you can check out his review right here.

Please focus on what he says because folks…I’ve never watched Star Trek the show. Not a single damn episode have I seen.

I’ve seen just about all the movies, but couldn’t tell you which ones I liked or enjoyed because it’s been so damn long.

I don’t the difference between Deep Space Nine and all that other crap that goes along with it all. In no way am I telling you that it is nerdy or geeky or bad in any way because Lord knows I do a shitload of nerdness plus in my life. My only problem here is that I can’t very well critique or talk about the television series or films because it wouldn’t be fair. How fair WOULD that be since I see nothing wrong with them but don’t want to give my thoughts if I really am not qualified to do so? The interest just hasn’t been there for me to care enough about “Star Trek” as a whole.

So go out and enjoy it because my plan is to catch the new movie too because it looks really damn good. I’m gonna tell you though that some of you Trekkies scare the shit out of me and evidence of that is right here.

Freaky asses.
