WWE News: Raw vs NBA Media Round Up

News

As much info on the battle for the Pepsi Center as I can stand to read and pass along:

Yahoo Sports imagines a Lakers/Nuggets/WWE Three Way match, complete with a score card. I think a Kenyon Martin/Batista match could actually draw given the right build, and Cena could probably be a good 10th man for the Nuggets. Dashiell Bennett weighs in at my favorite sports blog, Deadspin.

According to ESPN’s blog buzz segment on Sportscenter the drama over who gets to use the Pepsi Center is getting more attention than the actual Nuggets/Laker series. Hey, we’re contributing to that! Thanks to PW Torch’s James Caldwell for pointing this out. The anchors seem to be very amused by Vince’s antics on their network.

Caldwell also reports that Staples Center and Madison Square Garden have offered to host next week’s Raw. Staples, it should be pointed out, is where the Lakers play their home games. Maybe they really appreciated when Vince held up Kobe’s jersey in that ESPN interview.

The Sporting News is reporting that WWE is considering a site a little closer to Denver; Colorado Springs. Which happens to be Bobby Lashley’s home town. I don’t read anything to that, I just happen to remember Lashley’s hometown for some reason. Vince is quoted as saying that he doesn’t think the scheduling conflict arose out of malice from Nuggets ownership, “just ineptness.”
