Beverly Hills, CA In modern day Los Angeles — whether youre rich or poor — everyone is just trying to survive without colliding into each other. But is it possible? Anchor Bay Entertainment and Starz Entertainment are proud to release Crash: The Complete First Season on DVD and Blu-ray August 25, 2009. Crash is the gritty Starz Originals series loosely based on the Academy Award®-winning Best Motion Picture of the same name and whose executive producers include the films director/writer Paul Haggis (Million Dollar Baby) and star Don Cheadle (Traitor). Crash: The Complete First Season is a 4-disc set that includes all 13 compelling episodes and will be available for an SRP of $59.97 (SD) and $79.97 (B/R). The Blu-ray release will include an exciting “”Character Track” special feature that allows viewers to explore individual character arcs.

The New York Times says, “Crash has a noirish appeal, and ambitions to tell a big story,” and what better place to tell that big story than the melting pot that is modern-day Los Angeles. A rich tapestry of saints and sinners, poets and players inhabit the city in Crash: The Complete First Season including maverick record producer Ben Cendars (Dennis Hopper); impulsive cop Kenny Battaglia (Ross McCall); his actress-turned-police officer partner Bebe Arcel (Arlene Tur); frustrated Brentwood mom Christine Emory (Clare Carey); her pre-bust real-estate developer husband Peter Emory (D.B. Sweeney); former gang member-turned-EMT Eddie Choi (Brian Tee); Bens street-smart driver Anthony Adams (Jocko Sims); illegal Guatemalan immigrant Cesar Uman (Luis Chavez); and cocky, hot-tempered detective Alex Finet (Nick Tarabay).

In addition, the Crash Blu-ray set offers the “Character Track” bonus feature, a unique viewing experience that allows the audience to pick from selected characters and watch that particular story arc exclusively.

Crash: The Complete First Season is a riveting series that dares to ride the edge and examine the forces that move our lives everyday. With top writers, directors and producers from movies like Million Dollar Baby and Casino Royale, and innovative TV shows like The Sopranos, The Shield and Deadwood, its not surprising that Crash is shaking people up.
