ROH News: Colt Cabana Talks About ROH, WWE, Wellness

News

The Chicago Jewish News‘ Pauline Dubkin Yearwood has done a lengthy profile of Colt Cabana. It starts with his childhood (and how his dad’s casual viewing of wrestling helped him decide his career path) and goes from there, ending with his release from WWE and return to ROH in the spring. He also offers some perspective on the topic of steroids, talking about the difference between WWE and the indies:

“Whether people can duck and dodge it I don’t know, but I took urine tests every three months and had someone watching me,” he says. “That’s in the WWE. Out of the WWE, anybody who’s a wrestler, an independent contractor, they have nobody telling them what to do or not to do. That’s up to their own discretion.”

There are some errors that will drive fans up a wall (Yearwood says that Cabana started in ROH in 1999, three years before it existed), but it’s a solid piece overall, and it will definitely help you know anything you wanted to about Cabana but were afraid to ask.
