If theres one positive thing to say about this DVD its that it doesnt feature nearly as much blood, nun abuse, and simulated rapes as the previous installment. And its so very sad that I almost want to celebrate just because of that. Lo have my standards fallen.
Like the first two Satanic Sluts DVDs this is a series of sadomasochistic sex scenes straddling that very fine line between soft and hardcore pornography. Each scene involves one or two women engaging in some kind of sex act—typically masturbation. Many of the women are dressed in some kind of authoritarian uniform and stand menacingly over each other. The threat of violence is ever-present and while they are not acted out this time, its still quite disturbing.
Honestly the women involved must have some serious trauma in their lives to want to take part in these DVDs. The level of hatred and violence perpetrated on their own bodies makes me think that they seriously hate themselves and their gender—an attitude Im sure is shared by Redemptions clientele. This is not about sexual gratification, but about violence, and any pleasure to be had in participating or viewing comes from releasing those violent feelings. This isnt love, this isnt lust, this is anger pure and simple. If I were a better person I would feel sympathy for these women—maybe even the viewers—because this is absolutely destructive and unhealthy and they need some kind of help before they end up destroying themselves. But Im sad to say that Im just not that good of a person, and the only emotions I experience are fear, disgust, and loathing.
The movie was presented in Fullscreen 4:3 with the sound in Stereo. The production value is about on par with a mid-to-high end video camera you can buy at Wal-Mart, but I doubt fans will care.

This was a fairly tame month for Redemption considering their other release was Cold Eyes of Fear. Satanic Sluts III is definitely a step back from Satanic Sluts II in that there was little blood or overt scenes of torture. Thats not to say that the sex acts shown were not disturbing or carried a strong undercurrent of violence—its just that it wasnt as much as the previous release. Still not enough to make this worth watching or any less nauseating. Not recommended.
