WWE.com passes along news that John Tolos, best known to many fans as Mr. Perfect’s manager the Coach, died yesterday at the age of 78.
Tolos’s roots in the business go back to the WWWF, where he wrestled Pedro Morales and was a U.S. Tag Champion with Gorilla Monsoon and Killer Kowalski. He also had a long feud with WWE Hall of Famer “Classy” Freddie Blassie, which drew a huge crowd to the Los Angeles Coliseum in 1971. Pulse Wrestling joins WWE in sending its condolences to Tolos’s family.
