Alex O’Loughlin fans won’t have to revisit their Moonlight disappointment. His job on CBS’ medical drama Three Rivers is safe, although Julia Ormond is saying good-bye.

Yup, it’s the “recasting season,” when the networks tweak the casts of the pilots they picked up, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Three Rivers was the organ transplant drama told from three different points of view. Ormond was a lead, playing the head of surgery, on the show, but will be replaced. Also appearing in the pilot in a possible recurring role was Joaquim De Almeida, who won’t be back.

Here’s a breakdown of the stars who are out and the roles left vacant:

CBS
NCIS: Los Angeles – Louise Lombard, a lead role as an investigator
Miami Trauma – Richard Coyle, played a doctor
The Good Wife – Gillian Jacobs (left for NBC’s Community), recurring role

ABC
The Forgotten – Rupert Penry-Jones, lead amateur detective; Reiko Aylesworth, lead as another sleuth

NBC
100 Questions – Amir Talai was the dating counselor Ravi, who inspires the protagonist in her search for love with his 100 questions for online dating

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
