Hung and Dexter Add To Their Casts

HBO’s new comedy Hung and Showtime’s Dexter have each added to their casts for the coming season.

Gregg Henry (The Riches, Gilmore Girls) will play a recurring role on Hung as one of star Thomas Jane’s colleagues. Dexter, meanwhile, has added Courtney Ford to its cast, also in a recurring part, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Hung, which premieres June 28, stars Jane as a well-endowed high-school basketball coach who, when his life hits a dead end, decides to use said endowment to his advantage. Henry will play one of Jane’s assistant coaches.

The casting reunites Henry and The Riches creator Dmitry Lipkin, who co-created Hung. Henry’s credits also include The Black Dahlia and United 93 and roles on 24 and Eyes, among many other TV shows.

The fourth season of Dexter, coming in September, will focus on the battle of wits between Dexter (Michael C. Hall) and a serial murderer nicknamed the Trinity Killer (John Lithgow). Ford, who’s guested on Cold Case, Criminal Minds and How I Met Your Mother, will play a reporter.

More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
