Did Izzie really kick the bucket on the Grey’s Anatomy season finale? You’ll be able to find out for sure on Thursday, Sept. 24.
ABC on Tuesday (June 9) announced premiere dates for the bulk of its fall 2009 schedule, and it’s sticking to a fairly traditional rollout. The majority of the schedule will debut the week of Sept. 21, which will mark the official start of the season as determined by Nielsen.
Highlights include a pair of two-hour Dancing with the Stars shows on Sept. 21 and 22, new comedies Modern Family and Cougar Town on Sept. 23 and the resolution of the Grey’s cliffhanger, along with the premiere of Flash Forward, on Sept. 24. Ugly Betty will join the party a little later, getting a two-hour premiere on Oct. 9.
ABC will also roll out its unscripted series Shark Tank in late summer, starting Sunday, Aug. 9. It will air on Sundays for three weeks, then move to its regular Tuesday home on Aug. 25.
The network also held off on setting dates for three shows — newcomer Eastwick, which will air at 10 p.m. ET Wednesdays, and returnees Private Practice (10 p.m. Thursdays) and Brothers & Sisters (10 p.m. Sundays).
