Mythbusters and Dollhouse Coming To Comic-Con

News

Fire up your Diet Coke-and-Mentos cannons: The MythBusters are returning to Comic-Con. Joss Whedon and Dollhouse will be there too.

Discovery confirmed Friday that MythBusters Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage will make their second consecutive San Diego Comic-Con appearance. Savage and Hyneman will be the stars of a panel at 7:15 p.m. PT Saturday, July 25, and will show fans footage of new episodes and what goes on behind the scenes of the show.

Mythbusters is the latest TV series to confirm for Comic-Con panels — bringing the total to about two dozen shows for the July 23-26 event. The Chicago Tribune has a list of all the confirmed shows as of Friday, including a special super-sized panel for Dollhouse.

The FOX show has booked two hours in Ballroom 20 for its presentation, which will include a showing of the unaired episode “Epitaph One” (which will be available on the show’s DVD set) and a question-and-answer session with Whedon and Dollhouse star Eliza Dushku.

Not on the confirmed list is NBC’s Heroes, which for the first time in its history won’t be presenting a panel. The show will have a “presence” in San Diego, but Universal, which produces the show, isn’t springing for the usual Q-and-A. Creator Tim Kring tells the Trib, though, that he and some members of the cast and crew will attend, and “we’re fully expecting to have a great sneak peek at Season 4 to show.”

Among the other shows who’ve confirmed attendance for Comic-Con are Lost, Big Bang Theory, Battlestar Galactica: The Plan (only likely and not confirmed yet), Dexter, Chuck, Fringe, Eureka, Legend of the Seeker, Psych, Sanctuary, Smallville, Supernatural, Stargate Universe, True Blood, and Caprica. New shows on the roster include Flash Forward, Human Target, Eastwick, Past Life, AMC’s Prisoner remake, Vampire Diaries, and V.

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
