TNA News: Impact Preview, Knockouts Bump Divas?, BFG Press Release

News

TNA has a preview of Thursday’s Impact. The fall out from Slammiversary will feature the following matches and angles:

Fallout between Samoa Joe, A.J. Styles, Sting, and Kurt Angle over the Main Event of Slammiversary and Joe’s apparent heel turn to help Angle win the World Title
A possible three way brawl between Beer Money, Team 3D, and the British Invasion over the finish of the TNA Tag Title Match
Kevin Nash vs. Abyss
Daffney vs. Taylor Wilde in a 10,000 tacks match

Spoilers from tonight’s tapings will be up once they’re available and Iain has just the right amount of contempt for the promotion.

PWI’s Phil Lions reports that ODB will take on Traci Brooks at WWC’s Anniversary Show on July 11th. Lions is speculating that this means that a WWE Divas match has been bumped from the card. WWE’s Unified Tag Champs (and sons of the promoter) Carlito and Primo Colon are still scheduled to take on the WWC Tag Champs, and MVP will also be appearing at the show, to take on the recently released Umaga. Another notable name from North America, Steve Corino, will be involved in the WWC Universal Title match. Wait, Universal? How does that work? Was it defended on an International Space Station or something?

TNA’s next big PPV, Bound for Glory, will be their first PPV on the West Coast. It will take place at the University of California at Irvine. PWI’s Mike Johnson has the press release for more details, including TNA’s pretty hilarious claim that it’s the biggest wrestling show of the year. Sure it is, guys.
