WWE had not finished the script for this week’s Raw by the previous weekend. It made the announcement about a press conference on Sunday night. It was held at 4 p.m. on Monday, when they announced the ticket refunds for the show. In other words, the entire deal appears to be a last-minute decision. Donald Trump was at first meant to be involved with Raw for much longer than one week. A lot of people in the company were negative about this direction, however, whilst Vince McMahon was unhappy with the lack of publicity. The company wound up relying on the same news outlets that were duped by the Trump purchase last week to help promote their $230,000 gate refund this week.
