Fincher in talks for Facebook movie

News

Fresh of his latest epic Benjamin Button (or Benjamin Snooze Button as dubbed by our very own Scott Sawitz), director David Fincher is in talks to embark on what seems like it could be his most boring movie yet.

Columbia Pictures is in advanced talks with Fincher to direct The Social Network, a script by Aaron Sorkin about the formation of Facebook.

The film will focus on the evolution of Facebook from its 2004 creation on the Harvard campus by sophomore Mark Zuckerberg to a juggernaut with more than 200 million members.

The plan is to begin production later this year.

Mike Noyes is thinking there really is no reason to make a movie about Facebook, and is wondering how it could possibly be even remotely interesting.
