World Wrestling Insanity has posted highlights from Tully Blanchard’s interview with them at PWI.
In it, he talks about his WWF run with Arn Anderson as the Brain Busters, covering everything from the best and worst teams they faced during their stay, the WWF having to confiscate Four Horsemen signs, and dealing with NBC script writers on Saturday Night’s Main Event:
“… I used to get into arguments with the NBC people doing promos for it because they were trying to write stuff I wouldn’t say. I said you don’t know who Tully Blanchard is. You don’t know who my character is. How can you tell me what I’m going to say? That wasn’t exactly a great career move (laughs). Besides that I couldn’t memorize and regurgitate anyway. “
Thankfully, nothing like that happens these days. You can listen to the full 34 minute interview, where Blanchard covers the breadth of his career and talks about his work in prison ministry, here.
