Morgan Freeman has done the Batman films and hammed it up as the villain in Wanted. Now he is in talks to star alongside Bruce Willis in Summit Entertainment’s espionage thriller Red, based on the WildStorm/DC Comic.
Originally written by Warren Ellis and illustrated by Cully Hamner as a three-issue miniseries back in 2003-2004, Red tells the story of Paul Moses, a retired black-ops CIA agent, who is ordered for assassination by Michael Beesley, the new politically appointed Director of the CIA.
Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian are producing with DC exec Gregory Noveck serving as exec producer. Brothers Erich Hoeber and Jon Hoeber are penning the script.
