News

The new fall drama Parenthood, which was supposed to anchor NBC on Wednesday nights, has been suddenly pushed to midseason to accommodate an 8-week medical evaluation for cast member Maura Tierney, who has cancer.

Based on the 1989 Steve Martin movie, Parenthood centers on four siblings (Peter Krause, Tierney, Erika Christensen, Dax Shepard) their parents and their assorted significant others and offspring. Tierney’s role was played by Dianne Weist in the original movie.
