Ric Flair Talks About Working For WWE, The Internet

News

Ric Flair talked about his status with WWE on the Pain Clinic Radio Show (which you can download here). PW Torch’s James Caldwell has highlights.

Flair wants to maintain his independence and says he would prefer to work for WWE on a part time basis. He also says that he doesn’t think Vince McMahon understands how much last year’s retirement ceremony did for Flair’s profile, allowing him to make a living without WWE promoting him.

Flair also talked about how younger wrestlers use fans opinions on the internet to gauge their performances, when the opinions they should be caring about are Vince McMahon’s and the agents. He put over WWE’s holy trinity of Batista, Cena, and Orton as being people who could follow in his footsteps while saying that he doesn’t see the next Flair, ‘Taker, Michaels, or Triple H out there right now.
