Two-Strike Wrestler Returns to WWE TV

News

Chris Mordetzky, a.k.a. Chris Masters, made his on-screen WWE return on last night’s Raw.

Facing MVP in a “beat the clock challenge” match, Masters fought Porter to a double-count out, keeping the former two-time U.S. Champ out of the ring while locked in the Master Lock full nelson.

Masters was released from WWE on November 8, 2007 after reportedly violating WWE’s Wellness Policy for the second time since it was implemented in February 2006. This is notable because WWE has yet to publicly define whether or not those “two strikes” will carry over from a previously-released wrestler’s prior run with the company, or if they will “reset.” (Hopefully we won’t find out and Masters will have a long, successful run with WWE.)
