Big Brother – Episode 11-11 Review

Shows

Well I missed blogging for the eviction episode, so I’ll cover Casey’s eviction as well in this one. And what an eviction it was!

On the block against Jordan, Casey knew he was going to be evicted but he wasn’t going to go down without a fight. Exposing Ronnie and Jessie as liars and calling the other houseguests followers, Casey sent the house into an uproar as he was evicted. After Julie read the votes and officially evicted Casey, Jessie tried to defend himself but failed miserably. So who comes to his rescue? His “pitbull” Natalie, who Casey called out as being Jessie’s lapdog and told her to “Go make Jessie a sandwich!” Genius!

The houseguests, or actually just Jessie and Natalie, said that Casey left with no class but I disagree. He got his point across that Ronnie and Jessie were liars, and somehow managed to stay classy. The insults were well deserved and Casey definitely left with a bang. The best eviction so far this season, maybe ever.

After the eviction, Julie had a few announcements for the houseguests. First, the cliques are NO MORE! No more athletes. No more brainiacs. No more off-beats. No more populars (although there wasn’t really a popular team left anyways!) The second announcement was a secret power that America would get to give to one houseguest, but they weren’t told what the power is. Julie then revealed to us that the power is the coup d’etat, something they first tried in Allstars but was never used.

The coup d’etat gives one player the power to overthrow the Head of Household and nominate two people RIGHT before the eviction. The only players who are 100% safe are the HoH and the veto winner. Anyone else is fair game.

Ronnie thinks that America loves him and he’s going to get the power! HA! He will find out very soon that he is so very mistaken, because not only does America hate him, he might be the most hated houseguest in Big Brother history! I’m pulling for a Jeff or Jordan win of the coup d’etat. That would be perfect.

The HoH competition was endurance, and was eventually won by Russell. WHEW! I was relieved, because the final two was Jeff and Russell and Jeff made a deal to save himself and Jordan from eviction. That’s pretty much all that matters to me, that Jeff and Jordan are safe. They’re definitely my two favorite people left, and if they can make it through this week and win the coup d’etat, well then they’ll at least make it to the final seven.

The Jessie/Natalie/Ronnie/Chima alliance is probably my least favorite alliance ever. Yes, I hated the “Soveriegn Six” (although every other person alive seemed to love them. who knows, maybe I’m just weird) but I despise this group. If any of them won, I wouldn’t be pleased. I could maybe stomach a Kevin or Lydia win, and I’d be absolutely ecstatic of a Jeff/Jordan/Michele win, but I couldn’t deal with any of the athletes alliance winning. Thankfully, Russell’s not dumb. He knows he can’t stay with the athletes and do whatever they say. He’s going to make his nominations based on what’s best for Russell, not what’s best for Jessie and Natalie. And that includes saving Jeff and Jordan, so I’m happy.

Do I trust Russell? No. But for right now he’s helping J/J, so he’s good in my book.

Ronnie disgusts me. That’s all there is to say about that. He said he would use the coup power for good, but unless he chose to evict himself, it’s impossible for him to use it for good.

In the HoH competition, Jordan won the right to put three houseguests on Have-Nots. Thankfully she was smart enough to choose names out of a hat, because it ended up being Natalie (who has a slop pass), Kevin and JESSIE. Now Jessie’s a bodybuilder and he needs his food. Watching him struggle on slop will be purely enteraining. Anytime Jessie’s suffering, things are good in the Big Brother house!

Now on to nominations, Jessie/Natalie wanted Russell to put up Lydia and Kevin because they’re a tight alliance and need to be broken up. I do agree with that, but Russell needs to make the rest of the house happy. If he sticks to what Jessie/Natalie say, he’s got two people on his side. If he nominates Ronnie, he’s got about six people on his side.

It’s simple math. 6 > 2. It just makes sense.

So Ronnie is FINALLY NOMINATED!!! He should have been nominated last week, but as long as he doesn’t win veto I’m pretty sure he’ll go home this week. True, anything could happen in the BB game. But hopefully things will work out right for once and save this season from disaster. And maybe the coup d’etat might be able to save it to. So far it’s been interesting, but all the evictees have been people on the good side of the house! Or the good side in my opinion. Jessie and Natalie need to learn that nobody likes them and they’re alienating everyone. It’s not good gameplay and not smart at all.

As long as nothing screws up with the veto, this looks to be the best week yet!
