Abraham Washington is single handedly ruining ECW. He gets as much time as any wrestler and he wastes every second of it. He isn’t over- he actually makes jokes that even a fifth grader would cringe at, which is made all the worse by the fact that he’s on the least watched show on the ScyFy network (where there are gruesome deaths in what seems like every other show) at 10:00 P.M., after the kids that this is presumably meant to appeal to are in bed.
To make matters worse, Abraham tells these terrible jokes, then to keep up, his guests have to come on and tell similarly terrible jokes to keep up, somehow leaving them less over than they were at the start of the segment. For simple proof, check Shelton Benjamin making Smurf jokes to the crowd’s complete lack of caring. Then otherwise interesting wrestlers sing as the crowd turns on the segment. Shelton sings a terrible song while Washington makes terrible jokes, then Shelton sings badly and gets the least over face-turn in ages… all because Abraham Washington is a heat suck who can’t set up a segment, let alone get one over. It’s like giving Michael Cole and Tony Shiavonne at their worst a segment that takes up a full quarter of every single show.
