Business Week’s Ronald Grover profiles Raw’s recent celebrity guest hosts and all the self promotion they’re doing. Stephanie McMahon is quoted a couple of times. She laid out this obvious internet flame bait:
“When Donald took over we realized that our audience wanted to see something new”
McMahon also hinted at future guest hosts. They include former creative team member Freddie Prinze Jr. (to promote a stint on 24), former Price is Right host Bob Barker (to promote spaying and neutering your pets?), and the Reverend Al Sharpton, for reasons that are unknown at this time.
Grover also talks about the show’s ratings increase with celebrities (especially Shaq) and compares the format to SNL. He even calls the Miz “hulking”, which is a first.
