He does cast the blame squarely at the foot of Yahoo’s Kevin Iole, though. Any journalist worth his salt would investigate a claim like the one Penn made yesterday, so Penn shouldn’t have been surprised in the least. When someone makes a comment like that, the immediate reaction for a journalist should be to call around, do some digging, and get the other side of the story. Kudos to Kevin for doing just that, regardless of what Penn says or thinks.
