Friday, July 31st, Tiger Woods said his drives were “on a string”, in other words, straight. He shot a 9 under par 63.
I don’t have the stats, but it seems to me that most of Tiger’s wayward shots (other than Friday when he was uncharacteristically on with his drives) are off the tee.
Monday, August 3rd, I heard on ESPN that Tiger Woods does fine on the driving range, but when it comes to tournament play he too often pulls to the right.
Since he does ok or better or much better or better than everyone else once he gets off the tee, maybe he should start each hole like he’s already in the middle, and not use a tee.
