Here are the highlights from FX’s presentation at TCA’s Summer Press Tour …

Nip/Tuck will open its sixth season on FX on Wednesday, Oct. 14 and run for 10 episodes, which will take the show into December; the final nine episodes will likely air sometime next year.

Damages will start its in January 2010. FX president and general manager says the show will be announcing some “really interesting” additions to the cast in the next few weeks. “I don’t think anyone in this room would guess who they’re thinking of,” he teased.

– FX has also ordered 13 episodes of a new scripted drama called Lawman, starring Timothy Olyphant as a modern day 19th century law enforcer covering the town he grew up in. It premieres in spring 2010.
