Big Brother – Episode 11-18 Review

Shows

Big Brother 11 was really going downhill, with the departure of Braden followed by Laura followed by Casey. Wham Bam Bing, all evicted and out the door. The future looked bleak for Jeff and Jordan, two of my personal favorites this season. And honestly, I was bummed. The “evil” side of the game was going to win.

But somehow, everything’s gone right! Everything!

Russell wins HoH and nominates Ronnie. Ronnie’s out the door. HECK YES!

Jeff wins the coup d’etat and nominates Natalie and Jessie. Jessie’s out the door. HECK YES!

Michele wins HoH, securing safety for herself, Jeff and Jordan. HECK YES!

And on Tuesday’s episode, Chima flipped out. She goes crazy. She gets expelled. HECK YES!

And to top it all off, Jordan wins the next HoH competition! HECK YES!!!!!

My favorites at this point are definitely Jeff, Jordan and Michele. Kevin also is incredibly entertaining and an overall nice guy, so I wouldn’t mind him winning either. Russell’s okay, but goes crazy at times.

Chima, Natalie and Lydia are crazy. Just plain crazy. And Chima proved herself to be an incredible sore loser. Just because thing’s aren’t going her way and she’s not in power anymore, she throws a hissy fit and decides to not listen to the production staff. She wants to spite them for giving Jeff the mystery power and in turn having Jessie leave.

While I do understand that the coup d’etat really screwed up her game, it’s a GAME. And she really showed who she was as a person. When Big Brother told her to get her microphone (one of the main rules of the game is that you must wear a microphone 24/7, which might I add cost $2,000 a piece) Chima flat out refused. Then when Kevin and Natalie finally got her microphone for her and handed it to her, she turns around, throws it ACROSS the backyard and lands it straight into the hot tub.

This is an expensive piece of technological equipment and Chima throws it in the hot tub, ruining it. I wouldn’t be surprised if CBS made her pay for the microphone. Anyways, her friends were mortified, as Lydia put it “That’s a big no-no!” And Chima continued to throw a tantrum. Big Brother told her to come to the diary room where the producers can talk to her, and she refused. Even though Kevin, Natalie and Lydia were all trying to get her to follow BB, she refused. And finally, she was expelled. Executive Producer Allison Grodner told her to come to the diary room and she never came back. Chima was expelled from the game and will NOT be a member of the jury.

So only seven remain, and the competition that was going to be veto is now turned into an HoH competition. It’s one of BB’s favorites, then “steal-a-prize” game in which the infamous red leotard makes its appearance! Jen was the original wearer of the  unitard in season 8, followed by Sheila in season 9 and Michelle in season 10. So far none of them have won the game, so I guess the future doesn’t look too bright for Lydia who unfortunately was left with the leotard this season. Too bad Lydia, maybe that’s a little bit of karma.

The funniest thing about the whole ordeal is that Lydia, Natalie and Chima actually thought they were the good guys! They thought that Jeff and Jordan and Michele and Russell were just EVIL EVIL people because they evicted Jessie, who they cried over like he was dead. I think Kevin’s the only normal one in that group because he at least can see how ridiculous the girls were acting. That’s why I wouldn’t mind Kevin winning the show, and right now he has a pretty good shot at it if he can start winning more competitions.

But as the HoH competition went, it came down to Jeff and Jordan in the final two. Jordan took a shot at the oversized game of Big Brother putt putt and got a score of 5. As any gentlemen would, Jeff purposely threw the competition and let Jordan win HoH so she could see pictures of her family and get a letter from home. Honestly, that shows what kind of guy Jeff is. It might have been a strategy move, but it also proved he’s a stand-up guy and I respect him for it.

So of course Jordan nominates Natalie and Lydia, but not before Lydia goes on a drunken rampage, yelling (err… slurring i might say) at Jeff, Jordan and Michele, calling them all sorts of names that shouldn’t ever be repeated and throwing a complete hissy fit. Taking after Chima a little bit too much, aren’t you Lydia? It was all quite ridiculous.

Lydia wants to save Natalie and have them vote her off instead, but the “Good People Alliance” as I call them still wants Natalie out of there. Hopefully it’ll happen, because even if she is insane, Lydia is entertaining. Although she does need to walk out that door immediately after Natalie. I sure hope that happens.

A final four consisting of Jeff/Jordan/Michele and then either Russell or Kevin would truly be the best F4 in Big Brother history, so I definitely hope that happens!

Now returning to the DCOTE, the dumb comment is actually a scene. After Chima throws her microphone into the water, Natalie and Lydia try to fish it out of the hot tub.

Natalie – “It FELL out of her hand”

Lydia – “Yeah, it FELL!”

Yeah girls, it “fell” halfway across the backyard, straight into the hot tub, just on accident. That’s a real bright comment. At least Kevin has sense.

Kevin – “Come on guys, they’re not dumb” (referring to the producers)

All in all, one of the best episodes of Big Brother ever and definitely the best of the season. With any luck, the rest of Big Brother 11 will be just as eventful!
