Inside Fights has confirmed with sources close to both camps that contracts for the Tito Ortiz vs. Mark Coleman fight have been signed by both parties, and the fight is official for UFC 106.
Ortiz is making his return to the Octagon after several years worth of disputes with UFC president Dana White. Ortiz and White buried the hatchet last month, with Ortiz signing a new contract to finish out his career in the only promotion he’s ever fought for.
It’s believed that Ortiz was given the fight with Coleman in order to get an easy win, but as the UFC Hall of Famer proved against Stephan Bonnar at UFC 100, he’s perfectly capable of playing spoiler.
