This Saturday, August 22nd, in Tampa, FL, Art Of Fighting 4 features the return of the “The man who KO’d Kimbo Slice” Seth Petruzelli.

Petruzelli has not fought since the bout with Slice that ended in a first-round technical knockout at EliteXC “Heat” in October 2008. Petruzelli was supposed to fight in Roy Jones Jr.’s March Badness promotion before dropping out with an MCL injury. The 29-year-old journeyman will carry a two-fight winning streak into his match with Baten.

Petruzelli was a member of the cast of the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s The Ultimate Fighter 2 as a heavyweight. He was eliminated in the semi-finals by Brad Imes after having defeated Dan Christison by unanimous decision in an elimination bout.

When asked for a scouting report of his opponent, Petruzelli shrugged and exclaimed “He’s a big scary guy.” The “Kimbo Killer” will be fighting a dangerous striker in Christopher Baten. Baten is a seasoned MMA fighter who made an appearance in the now extinct IFL, and is also a Tampa police officer who has a large following in the area.

The nights’ festivities also feature a Light Heavyweight Title fight between BJJ specialist Marcio “Pe De Pano” Cruz and Tom “Trauma” Sauer for the WFO World Title. Marcio is world renown as “Pe de Pano” for his ability to thwart the heel hook in jiu-jitsu tournaments. Marcio lost two fights to UFC legends Jeff Monson and Andrei Arlovski but has since rebounded, winning his last three fights in a row. Cruz has captured 6 World Titles, alongside 8 Pan-American titles in jiu jitsu. Sauer has victories against Jeff Monson, Valentijn Overeem and Enson Inoue on his resume and has battled Tourette syndrome throughout his life.
