Sean Sherk off UFC 104

News

Dave Meltzer reports that the UFC contacted the California State Athletic Commission earlier today and informed them that Sean Sherk had been removed from the UFC 104 card on Oct. 24.

No reason was given for Sherk’s removal from the show, but the UFC did say that a new opponent would be named for Gleison Tibau.

UPDATE: Sherk was removed from the card due to a shoulder injury suffered in training. Josh Neer will replace him against Tibau, and the fight will likely be moved to the preliminary portion of the evening.
