Matt Hamill vs. Jon Jones on tap for TUF 10 Finale

News

Matt Hamill and Jon Jones have verbally agreed to a bout on the Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale card on Dec. 5. Bout agreements will be distributed shortly.

The bout was initially reported by MMA Madness.

The fight will serve as the co-main event of the evening. The only other bout confirmed thus far is Rousimar Palhares taking on Alessio Sakara in a middleweight matchup.

Jones, 22, is considered one of the top MMA prospects in the UFC. He currently sports an undefeated record and has landed consecutive victories over Andre Gusmao, Stephan Bonnar and Jake O’Brien. He’s known for his flashy and unorthodox moves, which he says were learned from watching pro wrestling matches on YouTube.

Hamill is an Ultimate Fighter veteran with a 6-2 record. He’s coming off consecutive wins over Reese Andy and Mark Munoz after losing to Rich Franklin one year ago. Hamill’s only other loss was a controversial split decision to Michael Bisping, a fight which many believed Hamill won.
