In his entry about Jim Cornette’s release from TNA, Pro Wrestling.Net’s Jason Powell says that the writing’s been on the wall for a few weeks. According to Powell, Cornette and Vince Russo have been butting heads in Jeff Jarrett’s absence, and something had to give. That they chose Russo over Cornette is why people (including me) tend to hate TNA, but I digress.
PW Torch’s Wade Keller extrapolates on Powell’s point and theorizes about a TNA where Cornette is welcomed back by executive Jim Ross. While that sounds like wishful thinking now, it’s not out of the realm of possibility, since J.R.’s contract with WWE is coming up soon.
