Silva denies elbow injury, ready for Mir

The Anderson Silva soap opera just will not end.

Contrary to published reports over the past two week, Silva says he’s “200% healthy” and doesn’t know anything about the alleged elbow injury that threatened to sideline Silva for the remainder of 2009.

Speaking to Fighters Only magazine, Silva says:

“I don’t know anything at all about any elbow injury,” he said, adding with a laugh, “I wonder who hurt me?”

“I’m 200 percent healthy and there’s no injury. UFC can set the next fight whenever they want, I’m ready. I’m interested in fighting Frank Mir. He can be the next one,” he says.

Dana White has gone on record saying that he’s not the biggest fan of the idea of Silva moving to heavyweight. White says he would rather see Silva clean out the light heavyweight division before attempting to move up.
