Danny Green’s IBO Cruiserweight title will be on the line and therein lies Roy Jones’ motivation for this fight. By winning the cruiserweight title from Danny Green, Roy Jones will have won a title in every weight class from middleweight to heavyweight.
But don’t be fooled here folks. The IBO title carries little merit. Let’s remember that Green won the vacant title from Julio Cesar Dominguez on the Jones-Lacy undercard in August. Sure, it’s a title, but not a top-tier title within the cruiserweight division.
