Inside Fights is cageside at UFC 103 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX. We’ll have the big live blog/chat session starting at 9:30pm ET, but in the meantime I’ll update you on the gigantic preliminary card fights.

Rafael Dos Anjos d. Rob Emerson (unanimous decision): Dos Anjos landed plenty of leg kicks throughout the fight. He kept working takedowns and Emerson was able to avoid most of them, but not all.

Vladimir Matyushenko d. Igor Pokrajac (unanimous decision): The Janitor had his way for the majority of the fight and used his strength advantage to control the Cro Cop Team member. It wasn’t pretty and it was largely boring, but he came away with the victory in his return to the UFC.

Eliot Marshall d. Jason Brilz (split decision): This was a slow, slow fight. Brilz wasn’t quick enough to do anything to Marshall, but Marshall never really took advantage of it.

Rick Story d. Brian Foster (submission): Story actually finished Foster with an arm triangle while in the guard, which is impressive. Foster took the first round and landed some great strikes, but Story rebounded to get the first finish of the night, and the crowd rejoiced.

Nik Lentz d. Rafaello Oliveira (unanimous decision): This was a good fight. The first round had plenty of wild strikes thrown and landed, but from that point forward the bout turned into a grappling match.

Jim Miller d. Steve Lopez (TKO, injury): Jim Miller was too much for Steve Lopez. Luckily for Lopez, he suffered a shoulder injury while throwing a punch in the second round, forcing the fight to a halt. Miller controlled the fight from the outset, dropping Lopez in the first for a brief second.

Tomas Drwal d. Drew McFedries (submission): Drew McFedries came out as many expected he would: throwing bombs. He even landed a few shots. He couldn’t finish Drwal, however, and quickly gassed. Drwal took his back with ease and secured the rear naked choke for the victory.

That wraps up our coverage of the preliminary bouts. Join us on our live chat for play by play, results and commentary for the rest of the show!
