Strikeforce today confirmed the “Strikeforce: Emelianenko vs. Rogers” card for Nov. 7 at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Ill. The city is a suburb of Chicago.
The show is headlined by a heavyweight clash between top heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko and Brett Rogers. Jake Shields and Jason “Mayhem” Miller will meet for the vacant Strikeforce middleweight championship on the undercard. That championship was recently vacated by Cung Le.
The main card will air on CBS. It will mark the first time since EliteXC’s ill-fated final show that mixed martial arts has appeared on prime time network television.
