I recently received some questions back in the mail from Padres outfield prospect Blake Tekotte. Tekotte just finished his season at Low A Fort Wayne. He was selected in the 3rd round of the 2008 draft out of the University of Miami.

TGC: What is the hardest thing about playing in the pros?

BT: Coming to the field with the same hard-working attitude everyday. Dealing with the highs and lows of the the game. Trying to stay on an even keel.

TGC: What activities do you do on your off days?

BT: Sleep and watch movies, while getting good meals in.

TGC: Who has had the biggest influence on your career?

BT: My mother, father, and the rest of my family.

TGC: What would you want to do if you weren’t playing baseball?

BT: A business-man.

TGC: What is your pre-game routine?

BT: Hit off the tee, stretch, listen to music to get mentally prepared.
