K-1 conducted the tourney draw for the Grand Prix 2009 Finals earlier today. Here are the results:
SIDE A
- Badr Hari vs. Ruslan Karaev
- Ewerton Texeira vs. Alistair Overeem
SIDE B
- Jerome Lebanner vs. Semmy Schilt
- Remy Bonjasky vs. Errol Zimmerman
Alistair Overeem has a very good chance of actually winning the tournament. His main competition in side A would be Badr Hari, and Overeem has already defeated him once before. If Overeem makes it out of side A, I think he has to be considered the favorite to win in the finals, no matter who he’s facing from side B.
