Highspots To Auction Flair’s NWA Title On ebay

News

PWI’s Mike Johnson has the full story on a piece of wrestling history going on sale at the internet’s auction house.

The original ten pounds of gold that the WCW and WWE World Heavweight Title Belts would be modeled after is being put on the auction block due to a dispute between its most famous wearer and Highspots, the company that produced Flair’s shoot videos and booked his indie appearances. Highspots claims that Flair still owes them money they advanced him months ago. Flair’s side of the story is that he repaid the debt through his personal appearances. Highspots’ decision to release DVD footage of Flair from this summer’s NWA Fanfest didn’t help matters either, apparently.

Unless things change between now and then, the auction is set to begin on Monday. You can e-mail Highspots to learn more.
