Another edition of the Austin Aries Lucky Lottery has been announced for the St. Louis area show on October 9th. The hat will include the name of every competitor on the card, as well as, in Aries’ words, “the names of 15 other legends and wrestling icons that want their ultimate wish granted”.
ROH and Banana Joe’s (1911 Locust Street in St. Louis, between 19th and 20th) have put together a post-show party. There will be a card on every seat at the show, which will get the bearer of said card into the party for $5.00, and a free drink. The advertised highlight of the after-party is a free meet-and-greet autograph signing with several ROH stars, including Colt Cabana, The Briscoes, Tyler Black, and Delirious. ROH has also announced the return of “Survival of the Fittest” for the October 10th show in Indianapolis. The tournament consists of six one-on-one matches, with the winners of those matches advancing to a six-way elimination match. The winner of the six-way “[jumps] into ROH title contention.” Five of the six qualifying matches have been announced, and they are as follows:
Tyler Black vs. Kenny King
Claudio Castagnoli vs. Petey Williams
Chris Hero vs. Kenny Omega
Colt Cabana vs. Kevin Steen
Roderick Strong vs. Rhett Titus
ROH will announce the participants of the sixth qualifying match this Friday.
Steve Corino visited ROH offices earlier this week (not sure if this is real or kayfabe). ROH promises more news on this as they come available.
ROH website columnist Holden McNeil’s has written an article on Tyler Black, titled “Renewed Focus.” The article chronicles Black’s reputation as someone who has “taken his eye off the ball,” and Black’s motivation to shed this dubious distinction.
