The Hollywood Reporter says Jamie Foxx is the latest to join Todd Phillips’ (Old School, The Hangover) next directing gig, Due Date.
With the addition of Foxx, he joins Robert Downey, Jr. and Zach Galifianakis in the road-trip comedy.
In Due Date Downey plays a high-strung father-to-be forced to hitch a ride with a college slacker (Galifianakis) to make it to the birth of his child on time.
Foxx will be playing Downey’s longtime pal, who once dated his wife (Michelle Monaghan) and has continued to keep in touch with her in secret.
The film begins shooting this fall in Atlanta, New Mexico and Los Angeles.
