ROH News – Cornette appearances, Edwards surgery, November HDNet tapings, and more

Eddie Edwards was scheduled for surgery on his broken elbow yesterday (Friday, October 2nd). ROH will provide an update on Edwards’ condition, and the state of the ROH Tag Team titles, as those details become available.

Post-match reaction from Kevin Steen and El Generico following their their Ladder War II loss to the American Wolves at Glory By Honor VIII has been advertised for next week’s ROH Video Wire.

The wire hinted that an ROH World Title shot may be forthcoming for Davey Richards. Richards earned a shot at the title by winning the inaugural Toronto Gauntlet during the “Death Before Dishonor” weekend (July 24-25). According to the Newswire, “a private meeting between Davey Richards and Austin Aries took place earlier this week. ROH officials hope to have word on what took place at that meeting next week in the wire.”

GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion KENTA will be on hand in Philadelphia on November 5th and 6th for six more weeks of television tapings. Also signed for the tapings are the following: Austin Aries, Roderick Strong, the Briscoes, Kenny Omega, Joey Ryan, and, making his return to ROH, Steve Corino. More names signed for the tapings, and for ROH’s upcoming return to Edison, NJ will be announced in next week’s wire.
