TUF 10 Finale: Jon Jones vs. Matt Hamill Set For Dec. 5

News

“The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale” is beginning to round out as the UFC has announced Jon Jones vs. Matt Hamill in a light heavyweight showdown. The card is set for Dec. 5, one week prior to UFC 107.

Each fighter has had success in the UFC, but neither has defeated the big names of the light heavyweight division. However, now both have garnered some attention, more noticeably Jones, making this bout noteworthy in these fighters’ young careers.

However, Jones and Hamill are not the only addition to the card, as the UFC also announced a lightweight bout between Frankie Edgar and Kurt Pellegrino.

Pellegrino smothered Josh Neer at UFC 101, while Edgar dominated Sean Sherk at UFC 98. Edgar is becoming a top contender in the lightweight division, and a victory over Pellegrino could put him in the running for the next title shot.

Both fights help bolster an “Ultimate Fighter Finale” that has a tough act to follow after the success of last season’s finale, which featured the Fight of the Year nominee, Clay Guida vs. Diego Sanchez.
