Gossip Girl Episode 3-5 Review

Shows

So, Rufus and Lily finally get married! But not after a whole episode of the kids trying to get them back together. Lily was still mad that Serena wsn’t going to Brown. But, everyone chips in and helps them tie the knot…the next day.

Georgina is still obsessing over Dan and can’t get over the break-up. Vanessa spills the beans that he is seeing someone else. Crazy Georgina blackmails her into telling Dan to break up with Olivia by saying that she will tell Dan about Scott being his brother.

“I don’t know if you’re joking or Lenny made brownies for your floor again…” haha.

Dan talks to Eric and Jenny who convince him that Vanessa’s attempt to break up he and Olivia is purely out of jealousy and love for him. So in a hilarious scene, Vanessa tells him that no, she’s not in love with him. She’s just been blackmailed because Scott is his brother. I was hoping for a little more reaction out of him, but eh, I am loving this new Dan. His conversation with Georgina was brilliantly funny.

Blair and Chuck go to dinner with Nate and Bri, and hilarity ensues. Blair is extra rude to the deceitful rich snob who lets it slip that she’s looking for Carter. Chuck is onto Bri, but still tells Blair to back off a bit. I love the cute bedroom massage scene between Blair and Chuck. He seems so much more human with Blair and I love it. But at the same time, he still is his old self.

Carter comes clean to Serena about his almost-marriage after Chuck makes him. Bri (who is also Beth’s cousin, as in the girl Carter almost married) brings along Beth’s brothers. Carter leaves with the brothers, surely off to get beaten or worse. Chuck tells a broken-hearted Serena that Carter could have ran, but he did man up and that must mean he really loves her.

Georgina shows up at the wedding with Scott, and as Lily and Rufus fight, Georgina reveals him as their son. They both run after Scott and assure him that they do love each other and want to be apart of his life. The two marry in the Brooklyn loft as the kids mingle. Scott is going back to Boston, but I’m sure this won’t be the last time we see him.

Tune in next week as we get to see the BIG talked-about kiss between Chuck and another guy!
