On Sunday night at the WWE Hell in a Cell 2009 PPV, CM Punk lost the Smackdown world title to the Undertaker in a clean pinfall in about 10 minutes.

The match was put on first on the PPV, and Punk was even introduced first, which is atypical of a champion in a championship match.

Apparently this went down in such a way because CM Punk has heat with management. On a recent tour of Europe, it was reported back to WWE corporate that CM Punk was not “dressed like a champion”. The Undertaker tried to take Punk aside and explain the rules to him, but Punk compared himself with John Cena, which rubbed people the wrong way.

With Batista moved to Smackdown, the direction looks to be Undertaker vs Batista as the top program, with Punk being moved down in the meantime.
