David Schwimmer will direct a dark drama of his own creation, Trust.

Starring Clive Owen and Catherine Keener, the story is about the damaging effects an online sexual predator has on a family.

The script was written by Andy Bellin based on Schwimmer’s story.

This is Schwimmer’s first foray into drama. His previous directing efforts include the comedy Run Fat Boy Run and co-directing HBO’s Little Britain USA series.

Owen and Keener will play the parents of a 14-year-old girl who are horrified to discover she has been victimized by an adult who gained her trust posing as a teenager on a chat room. Newcomer Liana Liberato will play the daughter.

Shooting begins November in Michigan.
