Former heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman will return to the ring on December 3 at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York. Rahman last fought in December of 2008, a TKO loss to Wladimir Klitschko. Rahman won his first world heavyweight title in a surprising 2001 knockout of Lennox Lewis. Rahman captured his second world title in 2005 with a unanimous decision over Monte Barrett. An opponent has yet to be named for Rahman who has a career record of 45-7-2 (36 KOs).
Also featured on the card will be heavyweight Michael “Big” Grant. Grant was hyped as the next great heavyweight at the turn of the century but he was overwhelmed by Lennox Lewis in his first title shot. Grant was knocked out by Jameel McCline in his next fight and his heart and desire to be a boxer have been questioned ever since. Grant has been fighting journeymen on small shows for the past eight years. The 37-year-old Grant has a career record of 45-3 (33 KOs). An opponent has not yet been named for Grant.
