Full match listing and details of WWE’s History of the World Heavyweight Championship DVD

Disc Announcements, News

On December 1st, the WWE will release it’s 3rd title in the series of World Title history DVDs. This one is to focus on the World Heavyweight Championship. Although it was just given to Triple H out of no where, and has absolutely no history with the original NWA World Title, they’re making it seem like so.

The WWE’s portion is a little light. Most likely because Triple H’s reigns yielded some of the worst matches ever. Chris Benoit held it for a while, and most World Title matches were on Batista’s disc because apparently he can’t wrestle unless the Big Gold Belt is on the line.

I’m digging the match selection though. Extremely stoaked to see that Flair/Hogan cage match. Although if you ask me, they should have put the one from Uncensored ’99. The one with First Blood rules that saw both of them bleed buckets and end with a pin.
