Rasslin’ Roundtable: TNA Turning Point

Features, Roundtables

TNA World Heavyweight title
AJ Styles © vs. Samoa Joe vs. Daniels

Matthew Michaels: AJ should win this, and hold the belt for a WHILE, but either way, I can’t wait to see this one.
Winner – The fans. Oh and Styles.

Mark Allen: They will try so hard to recapture their magic from 2005 but unfortunately it won’t live up. But I’m sure it’s still going to rule regardless. One hand you let Joe win here and let he and Daniels have a singles program but AJ goes onto to feud with a returning Tomko, but I’m afraid everything is in a holding pattern until Hogan arrives. AJ will retain here and perhaps lose it to Angle next month in preparation for the Orange Goblin.
Winner – AJ

David Brashear: There’s no way AJ should lose the title here. I’d actually be happy to see this end with a schmozz that results in some sort of stipulation for a rematch.
Winner – AJ Styles

Kurt Angle vs. Desmond Wolfe

Mark Allen: If TNA is serious about this change of direction then Wolfe gets a convincing victory here.
Winner – Wolfe

David Brashear: Wolfe’s the logical choice to win. Plus, like I said last month with Morgan, if Angle cooperates he can make Wolfe look like a bona-fide star (and new stars are one thing TNA needs right now). Kurt can always get his win back in a later rematch.
Winner – Desmond Wolfe

Matthew Michaels: Really Nigel should win his first PPV match in.
Winner – Wolfe

Bobby Lashley vs. Scott Steiner

David Brashear: Thanks for coming, Scotty.
Winner – Bobby Lashley

Matthew Michaels: I don’t know how you let Steiner win anything here.
Winner – Lashley

Mark Allen: Remember back in the day when the main event monster du jour would just run through villains on a month-by-month basis. Yeah that’s what Bobby is doing. First Rhino. Then Joe. Now Steiner. Who’s next? Nash?
Winner – Lashley

TNA world tag team titles
British Invasion (c) vs. Motor City Machine Guns vs. Beer Money, Inc.

Matthew Michaels: I can’t keep track of the TNA tag belts; I can’t see them putting them on MCMG but I’m hoping they will, so…
Winners – Shelley & Sabin

Mark Allen: I want to say MCMG finally win the Tag belts here to further cement this new directions storyline. The Invasion and BM can continue their never ending feud without the belts while the Machine Guns battle…The Nasty Boys.
Winner – MCMG (new Champions)

David Brashear: Look – enough is enough. The Guns have paid their dues. Put the belts on them already. Let the Invasion and Beer Money get so involved with taking each other out that the Guns come out of nowhere to get the win.
Winners – Motor City Machine Guns

Six Sides of Steel
Tara vs. Awesome Kong

Mark Allen: Remember when Kim Couture was going to feud with Tara? Me neither. That being said I have no idea who is going to win this one and it’s sad their first bout is in a cage match, because where do you go from here?
Winner – Kong

David Brashear: We’ve seen a cage allow for an “out” to let the unstoppable Kong get beaten before (when her hair was tied to the cage) but I don’t see that happening again. If TNA’s smart, this will allow both women to show just how brutal they can be. And if that happens, I don’t see how Tara can keep up.
Winner – Awesome Kong

Matthew Michaels: Yikes.
Winner – Kong

Street Fight
The Pope, Matt Morgan, Hernandez v. Rhino & Team 3-D

David Brashear: Dinero, Morgan, and Hernandez are on their way up the card (or they should be). Rhino and 3D are on the way down. Even though there’s not really any rub from beating Rhino and 3D, I look to see them go down.
Winner – Dinero, Morgan, Hernandez

Mark Allen: The only way the good guys team would be even more of TNA’s “boys” is if Lashley was there instead of The Pope. That being said look for Rhino to look at the lights once again.
Winner – Pope, Morgan and Hernandez

X-Division title
Amazing Red (c) vs. Homicide

Matthew Michaels: Keep it on Red.
Winner – Red

Mark Allen: For some reason I don’t see this feud being a one-and-done. I’m thinking Don West gets involved somehow down the line.
Winner – Red

David Brashear: Red has the skills to carry the title for a while. Plus, this way we get a feud where Homicide keeps trying to bring the belt home to the World Elite.
Winner – Amazing Red

TNA Women’s title
TNA Women’s tag team titles
(winning team claims all titles)
The Beautiful People vs. ODB/Taylor Wilde/Sarita

Mark Allen: A Russo booking staple right here with the combined Titles match. Now is the time for The Beautiful People to win them all so we can finally do another Freebirds-style Tag reign and have the Internet’s head explode by having Lacey reign as TNA Women’s Champion.
Winners – Beautiful People

David Brashear: Do I think that Lacey’s ready to carry the Women’s belt? No. Do I think that the Beautiful People are ready to drop the Women’s tag team belts? No. Hey, maybe they could turn Lacey into a character who hides behind the other two members of her faction to retain her belt (kind of like Michael Hayes hiding behind Terry Gordy).
Winners – The Beautiful People

Matthew Michaels: The Beautiful People need to win this.
Winners – TBP
